About Reidsville

Reidsville High School opened as Reidsville Senior High in 1960 and merged with other county schools in 1993 to become part of Rockingham County Schools. This merger allowed for centralized management of all needs, offering students equitable access in all county schools.  In 1999, the school's name was changed to Reidsville High School.

The school offers a variety of sports for men and women and the school currently competes as a AA school. There are also many clubs and organizations where the students can extend their classroom learning opportunities as well as find ways to serve their school and community.

The basis of student behavior is based on building character traits, which include respect, citizenship, fairness, trustworthiness, caring, and responsibility. The students and staff strive to display these characteristics in their daily interactions.

RHS achieved Exemplary School status for 1997-98, 1998-99 and 1999-00 through the North Carolina ABC program. RHS has met high growth for four consecutive years: , 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12.
